I need you all and all are not enough
this unquenchable thirst plagues me
mindful I am not enough for any

one to stir my poetic soul and delve
in the wispy world others cannot see
willing to go as deep as I can swim

another young and wild to keep me sharp
exuberantly feeds my aging ego
feasts on the nurturing nature inside

dark and dangerous guides me to the edge
teaches me to dance where once I couldn’t step
leaves me there impatiently waiting to twirl

and one of flesh to douse the flames
to taste and touch and breath in deep
masterfully his hands keep me sane

unworthy surely but still I’m parched
if you could spare just one more
tell him to rap this night upon my door
